Description
Is TAS still a thing?
Reports of the death of TAS are greatly exaggerated. The VMware Tanzu team has a roadmap out to 2026 and, more importantly, large, paying customers.
You may know it as Tanzu Application Service (TAS), or Pivotal Application Service (PAS), or even Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF.) At Altoros, we just think of it as the most productive developer and operator experience ever invented.
Join Altoros’s TAS team
Altoros started with PCF in 2014, and TAS is still a significant focus for us. If you love the TAS ecosystem, we have a role for you. We’re looking for people with at least a year of production experience running TAS using Concourse and OpsMan. Bonus points if you ever participated in (or led) a Pivotal or Tanzu Application Service Dojo.
How you will make an impact

- You will work side-by-side with some of the most experienced engineers in the TAS ecosystems and for some of the most sophisticated customers.
Your technical background

- 1+ year direct experience running TAS (or PAS/PKS/PCF) with OpsMan and Concourse.

- Master of Linux/Unix environments and commands.
- Well-grounded in the cloud-native software development life cycle and key concepts of cloud-native architectures.
- Fluency with agile delivery models.
- Proficient in high availability, scalability, resilience, app performance, and security in the cloud.
What you need to succeed
- Experience with TAS day-one and day-two operations.
- A passion for educating, training, designing, and building cloud computing systems for some of the world’s largest and most influential organizations.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- A consultant’s outlook: you are the on-site expert, there to solve the customer’s concerns.
- Communicating effectively with both technical and business stakeholders comes naturally to you.
- You know how to analyze issues and obstacles and choose appropriate courses of action.
