As the Compliance Project Manager, you will support DRW in meeting the requirements of multiple regulators in several jurisdictions across the globe, with a focus on managing the regulatory compliance program in accordance with each registration category. This includes acting as a liaison between DRW Compliance business stakeholders and Compliance software engineers to identify and resolve issues. Additionally, you will routinely interface with a variety of stakeholders across the firm, as well as with external counterparties and regulators. Responsibilities:
- Manage the regulatory licensing application process and coordinate with business areas on processes, controls, and control documentation required to meet regulatory requirements.
- Assist in identifying new regulation affecting the firm and work with stakeholders to establish and maintain controls needed for compliance.
- Work closely with internal Compliance team members to understand their technology needs through the use of business requirements.
- Lead risk and control self-assessments to determine design and operational control effectiveness.
- Work with business areas and key stakeholders to decide appropriate control gap remediation.
- Gather business requirements from various stakeholders at different levels of the organization to develop roadmap for strategic implementation.
- Communicate requirements, domain expertise, and big picture concepts to technical teams.
- Proactively offer recommendations for best practices use of technology in business processes.
- Assist Compliance team in defining and documenting requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Ensure that any technology implementation meets stated business requirements.
- Manage prioritization of new feature development.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience analyzing and translating team needs to create functional requirements.
- Familiarity with data systems and software development practices is required.
- Domain experience – strong knowledge of traditional finance and cryptoasset ecosystem.
- Entrepreneurial approach, self-starter who can work in a leadership role with limited coaching.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to tailor communications to different groups as appropriate.
- Strategic thinker – able to synthesize team requests and industry trends.
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization.
- Must have strong business acumen and the analytical and problem-solving skills necessary to identify trends and root issues, and to recommend solutions that support the company’s business objectives.
- Must have strong organizational and presentation skills and a professional demeanor.
- Significant experience providing business/systems analysis for software development.
- Bachelor’s degree required, Engineering or Project Management focus preferred; graduate-level degree (MBA, JD, or comparable) a plus.
