We are seeking a passionate and experienced enterprise risk leader who can utilize their market infrastructure or capital markets operational risk experience to support the Bullish risk function in developing and implementing the group-wide enterprise risk framework.
Job Summary:
The Group Enterprise Risk Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a comprehensive risk management framework across the organization. This will entail working closely with senior management and employees across all areas of the Bullish business to ensure all aspects of the enterprise risk programme are consistently implemented and maintained on an ongoing basis. You will leverage your experience and knowledge of the risks inherent to trading platform technology and operations to support our evolving risk framework, develop key risk metrics and indicators, and present to senior stakeholders. This role will also act as a risk advisor to Bullish’s risk owners’, supporting them in their responsibility to identify, evaluate and develop mitigating strategies for potential risks, while also helping them address any ad hoc risk related items.
Key Responsibilities:
Risk Identification and Assessment:
- Support all Bullish businesses in conducting risk assessments to identify potential risks that could affect the organization’s operations, reputation, and financial performance.
- Work with colleagues to develop and maintain risk control self assessments (RCSAs) for all Bullish material risks, ensuring mitigation measures are appropriately accounted for and their effectiveness assessed and regularly evaluated.
- Develop and maintain a risk register, documenting identified risks, their potential impact, and mitigation strategies, leveraging the Bullish risk taxonomy.
Risk Mitigation and Management:
- Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures across the Bullish businesses and entities to mitigate identified risks.
- Collaborate with department heads to integrate risk management practices into their operational processes.
Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor the effectiveness of risk management strategies and the enterprise risk management framework, making recommendations for improvements.
- Prepare and present risk reports to senior management, highlighting key risks and mitigation efforts.
Compliance and Regulatory Requirements:
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to risk management across the jurisdictions in which Bullish operates.
- Stay informed about changes in regulatory requirements and assess their impact on the organization’s risk profile.
Training and Awareness:
- Develop and deliver risk management training programs to increase awareness and understanding of risk management practices across the organization.
- Foster a risk-aware culture by promoting the importance of risk management at all levels of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CRM, FRM, PRM) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or a related field, preferably within financial market infrastructure, crypto markets or broader capital markets.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles, frameworks, and methodologies.
- Experience with risk assessment tools and software is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

- In-depth knowledge of blockchain technology, crypto currencies, automated market makers and digital asset exchanges (both CEX and DEX) a plus.
- Passion for the digital asset industry, proactive approach to learning, and a keen interest in staying up-to-date with the latest trends and developments.
- Ability to travel. Bullish is a global organization with offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Germany, the United Kingdom, Gibraltar and the United States. In order to coordinate the enterprise risk management programme across the organization, travel may be required.
