NEAR Foundation is hiring for our Payment Operations Lead. The Finance team provides a critical function to ensure the success of the Foundation, providing operational excellence for all payments and treasury management. The Payment Operations Lead will maintain the smooth management of all NF payments, payroll, and treasury (Token and Fiat). Coordinate with external partners and lead the annual audit.
You will:
- Own a comprehensive set of finance matters of NEAR Foundation and its subsidiaries
- Oversee financial operations: token distributions, Invoice settlement, track cash flows
- Oversee successful deployment of Payroll
- Manage the fiat and token treasury of the Foundation
- Plan, coordinate and maintain Operational liquidity (fiat and token)
- Manage a team of 2 direct reports
- Complete employee and contractor compensation related tasks, including Payroll
- Establish best practice, design, review, and improve business processes and procedures
- Coordinate with external service providers, including Payroll, Tax and Accounting
- Manage Token Custody and Fiat Treasury partners
- Oversee quarterly tax return preparation and submission
- Oversee the timely and accurate management of the annual Audit
- Contribute to strategic projects and complete ad-hoc tasks
You have:- Exceptional intelligence and breadth of business knowledge
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- 5+ years of demonstrated excellence in a high level operational/financial role
- Outstanding business judgement, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Excellent personal skills to manage Customer relationships
- Extensive knowledge of financial accounting and reporting
- Robust understanding and implementation of financial control processes to manage risk
- Stellar attention to detail and process orientation
- Master of spreadsheets and familiarity with spreadsheet-based coding
