The Operations and PMO team is here to make the business run more smoothly. You’ll be working closely with the VP Customer Solutions to ensure that the general business operations of our business are well managed. This includes making sure that our general business rhythms operate smoothly, responsibilities are clear and that ways we can improve our business are followed up on. As part of this you will ensure our Integrated Business Management System is updated and its compliance audited in order to maintain the independent ISO certifications that our market requires. You will also set and maintain our knowledge management approach and look after internal business change as we grow and adapt to market needs. You will work closely with our Security team on Information Risk Management and support ensuring ISO27001 compliance. We work across the business, so you’ll get to work with people across our engineering, product and PMO teams.
Your mission is to establish the processes and controls to support good governance across the Defence organisation to ensure the interests and expectations of our customers and partners are understood and respected. You’ll ensure everyone understands the “why” of this, aligning the team behind the importance of quality management and supporting them to ensure seamless delivery. You’ll also be enabling agile assurance by establishing appropriate methodologies to protect and enhance our reputation through the mitigation of risk, and facilitate performance evaluation and improvement, transforming ways of working to maximise our effectiveness and eliminate unnecessary cost and waste.
You’ll ensure we continue to meet and exceed the expectations of ISO 9001 and ISO 27001. You’ll be accountable for the Business Process Management System and engage with teams to ensure all our processes and controls are fit for purpose and deliver their intended outputs. You’ll monitor our process compliance, identifying areas for improvement and giving appropriate visibility of performance and conformance through audit, analysis and reporting.
Your Opportunity:
- Management System: Maintenance, development and communication of the quality management system, to assure awareness across the DU. Updating the process framework as the business grows.
- Business operations: Facilitate the key rhythms of business operation ensuring clear meeting cadences and good practice on record keeping and action tracking, clear understanding of roles and responsibilities and delegations of authority.
- Improvement: Lead and deliver a programme of continuous improvement and business change Including facilitation, work on ad-hoc projects (as needed), and ensure changes and improvements do not adversely affect the management system.
- Certification: Ensure conformance with ISO9001, maintenance of certification to ISO9001 & ISO27001 and engagement with the certification body
- Enterprise Risk Management: Manage the enterprise risk management process, working with cross-functional stakeholders to embed a culture of risk-based decision making, backed up by analysis of trends.
- Knowledge Management: Ensure we have a clear strategy and responsible owners for knowledge management within the organisation.
- Audit: Plan the risk-based Audit Programme and conduct internal audits against ISO 9001 and ISO 27001
- Non-conformance: Ensure people respond quickly and appropriately to non-conformities when they arise, by supporting them in taking remedial action and undertaking root cause analysis to prevent any further recurrence
- Analysis: Report on quality management within the business, identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Security: Support our security team to ensure ISO27001 requirements are met and maintained
