Senior Security Engineer (m/w/d) - Remote

Your mission

We are currently seeking an experienced Security Engineer. Our tech stack includes OpenStack, AWS, Kubernetes, Node.js, C/C++, Go, and Postgres. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and methodologies, and will have a proven track record of successfully designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions. As a Security Engineer and SOC Analyst, you will play a critical role in protecting our blockchain infrastructure in the cloud and on-prem as well as our customers’ valuable assets from cyber threats.

Please note: While this position can be performed remotely, we will only be screening applicants who are resident in Germany, Portugal or Sweden.

In this role, you will:

Design, implement, and maintain security solutions for our organization's networks, systems, and applications
Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and remediate security weaknesses
Monitor security systems and devices for signs of intrusion or anomalous activity
Respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner
Develop and maintain security policies and procedures
Stay up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity threats and trends
Collaborate with other IT and security personnel to ensure the overall security of our organization

What you need to be successful:

Demonstrated experience in Computer Science and Information Security
5+ years of experience in cybersecurity
Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and methodologies
Experience in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration tests
Experience in monitoring security systems and devices
Experience in responding to security incidents
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Experience with SIEM and/or SOAR tools
Certifications, such as CISSP or AWS are a plus
Experience with AWS and cloud security technologies
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control, preferably in Gitlab
Experience deploying and managing SAST, DAST, and SCA tooling
Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and Ansible
