About The Role

We are looking for a visionary Roblox Lead Programmer & Game Designer who will be pivotal in shaping the future of our games. This role involves collaborating closely with our Head of Production to conceptualize new game designs and leading the programming efforts to turn these visions into reality. As our Roblox Lead Programmer & Game Designer, you will:

• Develop game concepts together with the Head of Production, ensuring alignment with the Roblox community, client expectations and values.

• Ensure the technical feasibility and creative alignment of game designs.

• Lead all programming efforts throughout the game development lifecycle on Roblox, from concept to deployment.

• Spearhead the post-launch operations, managing live ops for all our games either independently or with a small dedicated outsourced team.

• Implement game functionality using Lua, translating game concepts and requirements into robust, efficient code.

• Optimize game performance and resolve technical issues, when needed.

• Mentor and support team members, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.

This role is central to our studio, requiring a leader who can manage multiple projects and ensure our games continue to engage players long after initial release.

Desired skills and Experience

• Proven experience in Lua programming and a robust portfolio of successful Roblox games.

• Demonstrated ability to lead a development team with a track record of successful project completion.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work with deadlines.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• A professional, ambitious mindset with a passion for game development

• Expertise in Lua and Roblox Studio.

• Strong grasp of game design and programming principles specific to Roblox.

• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, collaborative environment.

• Excellent organizational, team management, and communication skills.

• Fluency in English is mandatory, fluency in French or Portuguese is a plus.

This is a full-time, fully remote position. You will have the flexibility to work from anywhere, collaborating with an international team of passionate professionals.
