Are you ready to make a significant impact in the world of crypto and web3? At CoinDesk, we’re seeking a dynamic Content Marketing Manager to lead the creation of compelling content for our award-winning Media & Events products. You will work with a team of talented marketers, creatives, social media experts, and data analysts to develop and execute engaging content strategies that captivate both crypto enthusiasts and newcomers alike by crafting powerful, data-driven narratives that resonate across the global crypto community.
We’re looking for a marketing strategist who excels at blending creativity with analytical insight, bringing a unique voice that shines across all marketing channels. Your ability to craft relatable content about crypto, web3, blockchain, and AI will help bridge the gap between complex topics and mainstream audiences.
As a storyteller and content marketer, you will understand the vital role CoinDesk plays as the most trusted source for media, events, indices, and data within the global crypto landscape. We are searching for passionate, ambitious, and hardworking team players who are eager to contribute to our fast-growing company and share our vision for the future of money and the emerging crypto economy.
This role is required to work onsite from our NYC HQ a minimum of 3 days per week. Required days may shift to more/less based on business needs and is at the discretion of the hiring manager.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, events content, product and editorial, to shape and execute a cohesive content strategy
- Lead the content execution plan for key marketing campaigns encompassing email, website, paid advertising, and social media, aimed at educating, inspiring, and converting our audience into loyal customers.
- Create high-quality, compelling content across all CoinDesk marketing channels and strategically leverage third-party platforms to maximize reach.
- Oversee content marketing for Consensus by CoinDesk, the premier event in the crypto industry, and actively promote it through personal social media and community channels.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on marketing performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and continuously refining strategies to optimize results.
- Manage relationships with social media and PR agencies to ensure consistent brand tone and voice across all communication channels.
- Uphold the brand’s voice and style as a key steward, ensuring consistency and quality in every customer interaction.
- Craft engaging narratives and present products in a way that captivates audiences and drives meaningful action.
What You Have:
- 5+ years of content marketing experience in a dynamic, high-growth environment, with a strong preference for experience in the crypto industry.
- Deep understanding of the crypto and blockchain landscape, including current trends, with the ability to communicate effectively to both expert and novice audiences. Knowledge of financial services and index businesses is a plus.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and strong editing and proofreading capabilities.
- Data-driven mindset complemented by a creative and innovative approach to content development, with a proven ability to leverage metrics for continuous improvement and iteration.
- Collaborative team player with a positive, proactive attitude.
- Committed to staying current with industry trends, using insights to inform and enhance content strategies tailored to audience needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field is preferred, though not mandatory.
- Proficient in analyzing data from email campaigns, social media, and website traffic to make informed, data-driven recommendations for content optimization and campaign testing.
- Skilled in building email campaigns using templates and updating website content effectively.
CoinDesk Inc is committed to offering competitive compensation and benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $115,000 - $155,000 + discretionary annual target bonus + additional incentives/benefits. Offered salary may vary based on geographic location, including city and state, and will be reflective of job-related knowledge, skills and commensurate experience.
