The International Tax Director will be responsible for ensuring the company appropriately calculates, files, documents, and organizes all international tax matters, reviews records of departments to ensure proper recording of transactions and compliance with applicable laws as they relate to the international tax strategy of the company, determines international tax estimate expected and downstream impacts while furnishing to management, analyzes records of present and past operations, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenues, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred to develop a compliant and successful international tax strategy.
Responsibilities:
Leads implementation of international tax strategy in pursuit of company growth strategy
Reviews records of departments to ensure proper recording of transactions and compliance with applicable laws
Determines international tax estimates expected and any additional impacts then furnishes to management
Analyzes records of present and past operations, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenues, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred with respect to relevant international tax matters
Ability to correspond with and facilitate strong working relationships with non-U.S. service teams, including project management, providing clear direction and holding teams accountable for expectations.
Develops strategic global operating model for overseas operations and cash management.
Establishing protocols and company policies around FATCA compliance.
Develops, implements, and maintains reporting systems that provide control of tax expenditures and marketing, production and labor, maintenance, or project activities
Maintains accurate and timely filing of international tax matters through development of an international tax calendar
Ensures compliance with Federal, State, local, and foreign laws that pertain to the company
Advises management regarding international tax matters
Interprets accounts and records to management
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, or related field
7-13 years of corporate international tax experience
Profound experience in tax accounting٫ tax compliance, tax return operations and relevant laws
CPA and/or MST preferred
Proficient in MS Office software, specifically intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Experience with forms 8858, 8865, 5471, 8938 and Fincen Form 114 (FBAR) and related U.S. filing obligations.
Familiarity with intercompany documentation requirements, including global transfer pricing policy rules and regulations.
Experience with withholding obligations and related U.S. filing obligations related to U.S. source income paid to Non-U.S. persons/entities.
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to preparing accurate work
Impeccable ethics, integrity, and discretion when working with confidential information
Ability to work both independently and on a team to define and resolve issues
