Your Mission:
As the Fiat Payments lead you will oversee the Fiat payments and fraud prevention operations for our international e-commerce site. You will be responsible for developing and implementing our global payment strategy, optimizing payment processes, mitigating fraud risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering a seamless and secure payment experience for our customers across multiple markets. You need to be ready to roll up your sleeves and get things done.

What You’ll Do:
- Develop and execute the company's fiat payment strategy to support business growth, enhance customer experience, and minimize fraud risks;
- Oversee end-to-end fiat payment operations, including merchant onboarding, payment processing, fraud detection, and risk management;
- Design and implement robust fraud prevention systems and processes to protect the company and its customers;
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations across international markets, including AML, KYC, and data protection requirements;
- Manage relationships with current partners, financial institutions, payment processors, fraud prevention vendors, and regulatory bodies;
- Analyze payment and fraud data to identify trends, optimize conversion rates, reduce costs, and enhance security measures;
- Drive innovation in payment technologies, fraud detection methods, and compliance tools to stay competitive and secure in the e-commerce landscape;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate payment solutions, improve overall business performance, and maintain strong compliance with the main regulations.
What You’ll Bring With You:
- Be based in a timezone aligned with Europe or the Americas.
- Proven experience in a senior role overseeing payments, fraud prevention, and compliance within e-commerce or fintech;
- Strong understanding of global payment ecosystems, fraud trends, and regulatory landscapes;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to risk management;
- Experience in international markets and multi-currency payment systems;
- Strong communication skills with the ability to understand and explain complex information in simple terms and good interpersonal skills to partner effectively with cross-functional teams such as Legal, Finance, Customer Happiness, and Product.
- Self-motivated and capable of independently prioritizing and delivering on projects with significant business impact.
- Experience and technical knowledge of payment gateways, fraud prevention tools, industry best practices, compliance management systems, and legal frameworks related to payments and risk, especially the European Union ones.
