Socios.com is a fan engagement and rewards app that allows fans to engage with their favourite teams and clubs through digital assets known as Fan Tokens.
The Role
As our Senior PR & Communications Manager, you'll play a crucial role in driving the PR strategy and media engagement for Fan Tokens in the Spanish and English language audiences globally. You'll spearhead a dynamic communications strategy, crafting compelling narratives to position Fan Tokens as a new product at the intersection of sports, crypto, and entertainment.
Reporting to our Head of Editorial & Fan Communications, your role will involve building strong media relationships, creating engaging content, and fostering a vibrant online community within the sports and entertainment industry. You'll work closely with our global teams to ensure consistent messaging and drive stakeholder understanding, and user acquisition and retention.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop and Execute PR Strategies: Design and implement a dynamic PR and communications strategy to position Fan Tokens as a leading product at the crossroads of sports, crypto, and entertainment, focusing on Spanish-speaking audiences globally.
- Media Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with Spanish and international media outlets to drive positive coverage and enhance brand visibility.
- Content Creation: Create compelling press releases, media kits, and narratives that effectively communicate the value and innovation of Fan Tokens.
- Community Building: Foster and engage an online community within the sports and entertainment sectors, aligning efforts with user acquisition and retention goals.
- Collaborative Messaging: Work closely with global teams to ensure consistency in messaging across all regions and platforms, enhancing stakeholder understanding.
- Stakeholder Relations: Act as a liaison between Fan Tokens and key industry players, promoting adoption and building credibility in the crypto and sports industries.
- Campaign Oversight: Plan and oversee communications campaigns, measuring their effectiveness and optimizing strategies based on performance metrics.
- Crisis Management: Respond to PR challenges with proactive and reactive strategies to protect and enhance the brand’s reputation.
- Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, audience sentiment, and competitor activities to inform and adapt communications strategies.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in PR or communications, with focus on the blockchain or sports industry.
- Deep understanding of Web3, blockchain, and cryptocurrencies.
- Proven track record in developing and executing successful communication strategies.
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Strong media relations experience, with a focus on sports and entertainment media.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in social media analytics and community management tools.
- Fluency in English and Spanish, additional languages a plus.
- Passion for sports and blockchain technology.
Bonus points for:
- Experience in the sports industry, particularly in fan engagement or marketing.
- A proven track record of securing placements in top-tier sports and entertainment media outlets.
- Familiarity with content marketing strategies and best practices.
- Experience in developing and managing communication plans for large-scale events and campaigns.
