ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer in Europe or Latin America to join Rootstock Labs during an exciting time of growth. Reporting to the Head of QA, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Integrations squad as they create cutting-edge solutions for the Rootstock community. This role focuses on both manual and automation testing, with an emphasis on user experience and end-to-end quality assurance. You will troubleshoot, identify, and report issues in integrations, collaborate with internal teams, and ensure optimal functionality across the Rootstock ecosystem.
The role requires someone who is passionate about the crypto environment, eager to challenge the status quo, and driven to deliver a seamless user experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manual and UX Testing: Conduct manual testing, UX testing, and role-play as an end-user to identify potential issues and improve the user experience.
- Issue Troubleshooting: Proactively troubleshoot and report integration issues, providing actionable insights to the integration team to ensure seamless performance.
- Automation Implementation: Design, develop, and execute automation processes whenever possible to optimize testing.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate asynchronously with global teams to resolve issues and ensure high-quality integrations across squads.
- Testing Coordination: Estimate, prioritize, and coordinate testing activities across Integrations squads.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and comprehensive documentation to support QA processes.
- Regression Testing: Perform thorough regression testing to verify bug resolutions or prepare for new integrations.
- Product Quality Investigation: Investigate product quality to identify opportunities for improvement and achieve better customer satisfaction.
- QA Process Improvement: Establish and promote excellent QA practices and processes that can be adopted by other technical teams within the organization.
- Reporting: Prepare and present quality reports and metrics to management and relevant squads to ensure transparency and informed decision-making.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer.
- Manual and UX Testing Expertise: Strong experience in manual testing, end-user testing, and UX evaluation.
- Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of common software architectures (web/mobile/API/DB).
- Automation Skills: Proven ability to design and execute automation scripts using tools like Selenium, Playwright, or similar.
- Bug Tracking and Test Management: Proficiency in bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Xray, TestRail, Testomat.io).
- Programming Proficiency: Programming knowledge in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Java.
- Agile Experience: Experience in Agile/Scrum development processes and working with remote teams.
- Blockchain Passion: A strong interest in blockchain technology, cryptocurrency, and decentralized protocols.
- Ownership and Accountability: An ownership mindset with strong attention to detail, accountability, and problem-solving skills.
- Communication Skills: Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal).
