Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of Transaction Monitoring Analysts, ensuring the effective and efficient operations of the team - including but not limited to: achieving SLAs and effectively mitigating financial crime risk;
- Identify improvements to operational processes and systems specific to Onchain monitoring workflows and vendors;
- Contribute to the creation of TM policies and procedures;
- Continuously develop and coach the Analysts to improve the quality of their work and the quality of customer experience they deliver; including but not limited to: their financial crime subject matter expertise and broader career skills;
- Conduct regular 1:1s with the team and be responsible for performance development/reviews and team development;
- Conduct quality sampling with subsequent TM education, awareness and training;
- Prepare weekly/monthly MI and KPI reports to the senior management team and key stakeholders - identifying trends, insights, and actions required;
- Own resource planning - evaluating the operational impact of new controls, new clients etc;
- HR admin management for direct reports: time off management, OT management, expenses reimbursement management;
- Work closely with stakeholders via ad hoc projects to help improve the TM framework - owning initiatives for the team;
- Assist the wider compliance function with complex queries, reporting, and analysis of client behaviour;
- Attend internal and external meetings and own actions from these meetings;
- Work closely with the other team leads and TM Lead;
- Be a champion SME and embed the Binance culture and values.
Requirements:
- Experience in Financial Crime Transaction Monitoring, in particular Onchain Transaction Monitoring at a centralized exchange;
- Spanish language skills an asset;
- Strong leadership capabilities and experience in leading large, global teams;
- The ability to effectively identify and solve issues where the root cause can be one or all of people, processes, and system issues;
- Proactively and independently manage solutions and project timelines;
- A motivated self-starter with a passion for driving continuous improvement;
- Clear, structured thinking and communication;
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills;
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence others.
