What the role involves:
As a Product Owner for the Lace Wallet, you will focus on driving the development and success of the mobile product while ensuring alignment with the overall product vision and roadmap. Reporting to the Lace Head of Product, you will work closely with engineering, design, QA, and other stakeholders to define priorities, create actionable user stories, and deliver features that enhance user satisfaction and drive adoption.
This role requires a deep understanding of mobile application development, user-centric design, and agile product management practices. You will play a key role in shaping the mobile user experience, balancing technical feasibility with business goals, and ensuring delivery of high-quality mobile solutions.
- Collaborate with the Head ofProduct to define and execute the product strategy for the Lace mobile wallet.
- Develop and maintain a prioritized product backlog, ensuring clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and alignment with product goals.
- Partner closely with engineering, design, and QA teams to plan sprints, refine requirements, and deliver mobile features on time and to a high standard.
- Translate customer and stakeholder feedback into actionable features, improvements, and enhancements for the mobile platform.
- Drive the definition of mobile-specific features that prioritize performance, usability, security, and user engagement.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks for the Lace mobile product.
- Monitor, analyze, and incorporate feedback from product metrics related to usability, performance, and engagement to guide ongoing improvements and prioritize features.
- Serve as the voice of the user, advocating for customer needs and ensuring user-centric product decisions.
- Collaborate with marketing, customer support, and business teams to communicate product updates, gather insights, and align on go-to-market strategies.
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across engineering, leadership, and external partners to ensure smooth product execution.
Requirements
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business, Computer Science, or Product Management is desirable but not required with equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated familiarity with blockchain, fintech, or decentralized technologies is a plus.
- Proven track record of delivering successful mobile products (iOS and Android) in an agile development environment.
- Strong understanding of the mobile product lifecycle, including requirements gathering, development, testing, release, and ongoing optimization.
- Experience creating and managing a product backlog with clear user stories, prioritization techniques, and acceptance criteria.
- Familiarity with mobile UX/UI principles and a user-centered approach to product development.
- Experience monitoring and analyzingusability metrics (e.g., user adoption, retention, engagement) and translating insights into actionable improvements.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, QA, and marketing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate product vision and priorities to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, postHog, or similar product management tools.
- User-Centric Thinking: Advocates for user needs and ensures that product decisions enhance usability, satisfaction, and engagement.
- Backlog Management: Skilled at creating, prioritizing, and refining user stories to maximize product value and team efficiency.
- Agile Delivery: Experienced in leading agile teams, facilitating sprint planning, and ensuring successful delivery of high-quality mobile features.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyzes product metrics, identifies trends, and translates usability feedback into actionable improvements.
- Effective Communication: Clearly conveys product vision, priorities, and technical requirements to diverse stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Tackles challenges proactively and collaboratively to ensure smooth delivery and continuous product improvement.
- Collaboration and Influence: Works effectively with cross-functional teams to align on goals, overcome blockers, and deliver results.
