DescriptionAn opportunity has arisen to join a growing Regulatory Affairs function supporting global Digital Asset regulatory change management, managing applications for new regulatory authorisations in assigned jurisdictions and ensuring the oversight & timely submission of regulatory reports.
The role will encompass the identification, tracking & analysis of regulatory changes arising in the US, Canada, the Bahamas and other jurisdictions across the Americas as identified, affecting Money Transmission & Digital Asset businesses. The successful candidate will also provide assistance to the business in:
- The development of appropriate controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements;
- Clearly articulating regulatory reporting requirements & ensuring their timely submission; &
- Providing product specific regulatory advice as required.
Responsibilities
- Develop & maintain a regulatory change framework & library to ensure the timely identification, analysis and reporting upcoming regulatory changes.
- Develop & maintain a library of key regulatory requirements for Money Transmitters & Digital Assets businesses.
- Lead the development & management of a robust process for the preparation & approval of applications for Federal & State regulatory authorisations.
- Contribute to the development of a robust reporting & governance process to ensure appropriate oversight of decisions in response to regulatory changes.
- Provide support and advice on upcoming regulatory requirements to internal departments including Accounting, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Engineering, Data, Marketing, and Support to fulfill regulatory obligations.
- Support the delivery of license maintenance and renewal procedures;
- Assist in preparations for routine in-depth examinations by regulators.
- Appropriately gather and process extremely sensitive documents and information of the company and key investors, directors and officers.
- Manage multiple competing priorities and numerous ongoing projects simultaneously and on schedule without sacrificing accuracy or attention to detail.
- Other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Experience of analysing & managing regulatory changes required.
- 5 - 8 years experience of payments and/or traditional banking/securities regulation desirable
- Experience with cryptocurrency/fintech desirable.
- Relevant certifications beneficial.
- Must be highly organized, a self-starter, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Has a positive outlook on life and projects a happy disposition.
Salary: $120,00 - $140,000
