A quick run-down of the job
You are interested in crypto, Web3 and DeFi and want to be responsible for Finance Operations in our fast-growing crypto infrastructure startup. Then you've come to the right place. As Head of Finance (m/f/d) you can build up a finance department in one of the most exciting German crypto companies. Have you always wanted to pay out payroll in crypto or shed light on the financial side of wallets, exchanges and on-chain assets? Then this is the best challenge you can take on.
In close cooperation with our external accounting service providers, both on Web2 and Web3 platforms, it is your task to design smooth and optimised financial processes and to prepare planning calculations and evaluations as a basis for strategic decisions. You will report directly to the CFO and manage your own team.

What you’ll do
- Support with monthly and annual closings: You will take responsibility for the control of closing activities, account reconciliations, monthly postings and process reconciliations in coordination with our external accounting service providers for all crypto and fiat transactions.
- Process Compliance & Payment Control: You support the processing of daily payment transactions and ensure compliance with internal processes.
- Reporting: You will be responsible for setting up and implementing financial and operational KPI and project-related reporting for our companies and for reporting to investors and management.
- Data optimisation and automation: You will work with our data science team to create (BI) dashboards and processes to enable fast delivery of reporting and reduce manual work.
- Business planning: You actively support the creation of the business plan, the analysis of forecast models and the identification of opportunities and risks.
- Business Partnering: You are the sparring partner of the CFO and the Li-Fi management and prepare ad-hoc analyses, planning calculations and evaluations to support the management as a basis for strategic decisions.
What makes a good candidate

- You have a degree in economics (Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration or comparable) OR training in banking
- Your first professional experience (e.g. in auditing) has made you confident in the field of finance, accounting & controlling
- You are interested in crypto and DeFi and ideally have experience in this area
- You are very Excel-savvy and excellent at processing large amounts of data
- You have a hands-on mentality
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- German language skills are a plus
- Your way of working is characterised by a quick grasp, excellent analytical skills and a high affinity for numbers and data

Compensation Range: €100K - €120K
