Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Token Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will collaborate with web3 companies to design and implement robust tokenomic frameworks that drive ecosystem growth and sustainability. This role involves producing comprehensive reports and whitepapers that articulate the core principles, strategies, and mechanisms of token economies. The Token Associate will also develop valuation models, governance frameworks, and other critical elements to ensure the long-term success of our clients' projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist in ecosystem analyses by gathering and interpreting data, creating insightful reports using Python-based data analysis and visualization tools, focusing on key aspects of the ecosystem
- Support the development of litepapers to outline the essential principles of proposed cryptoeconomic frameworks, with an emphasis on quantitative insights wherever relevant
- Build and maintain Python-based valuation and statistical models to analyze tokenized systems, focusing on fundamental metrics. Use frameworks (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn) to run basic simulations or stress tests under different scenarios
- Contribute to designing token economic systems by applying quantitative methods (e.g., mathematical modeling of incentive mechanisms, liquidity provisioning, emissions schedules), assisting senior team members in refining and testing these models
- Collaborate in developing governance frameworks, using data analysis to inform on-chain and off-chain governance structures, community involvement, and participation methods
- Assist in refining governance structures post-launch by analyzing key governance metrics, helping address questions and update project literature based on quantitative findings
- Support the development of whitepapers, iterating on the technical and data-driven sections to ensure they meet industry standards for public presentation
- Actively research emergent tokenomic models and apply statistical or Python-based analyses to identify new trends in the web3 space, sharing quantitative insights with the team
Basic Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience (or strong internship exposure) in mathematical or statistical modeling, ideally leveraging Python for data analysis and model-building
- Familiarity with Web3 concepts (tokens, blockchains, cryptocurrency) and a willingness to learn deeper aspects of smart contracts, DAOs, and on-chain mechanics
- Extensive experience with tokens, including creation, minting, yield farming, issuing, burning, and staking
- Strong understanding of financial models (NPV, discount rates, bonding curves) and fundamental statistical methods (regression, hypothesis testing), with a willingness to learn advanced approaches
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain data-driven findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficiency in Python (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn) and Excel; willingness to learn other data-analysis tools as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or another quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- A motivated and driven self-starter
Preferred Qualifications
- An advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science) is a plus but not required
- Prior internship or analyst role in a Web3 or blockchain-focused organization
- Experience contributing to tokenomic strategies or simulations (e.g., running python-based models or analyses)
- Familiarity with additional languages (e.g., R, SQL) or statistical software is a plus, especially if it complements Python expertise
- Awareness of regulatory considerations and compliance in the blockchain space is an advantage but not required
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary with performance-based bonuses
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
- Flexible working hours and remote work options
- Opportunities for professional growth and development
- Access to industry conferences and networking events
- Collaborative and innovative work environment
The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 to $100,000. The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition to the salary, a performance bonus and long-term incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
