Base is built on Optimism’s open-source OP Stack. We’re joining as the second Core Dev team working on the OP Stack to ensure it’s a public good available to everyone; and contributing a portion of sequencer revenue to funding public goods.
We’re looking for a Builder Community Lead, US who will lead Base’s online communities. You’ll be responsible for managing and growing Base’s builder communities across online platforms in the US.
What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):
- Manage and grow Base’s cross-platform online builder communities (e.g. Discord, Twitter, Reddit, Telegram, Farcaster)
- Create and manage grant programs
- Run online spaces, live events and create content
- Act as the primary point of contact for builders
- Manage support channels on social forums and respond to issues raised in the community
- Collect and synthesize community feedback to influence product development
- Serve as a public ambassador and figurehead for Base
What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):
- 8+ years of relevant experience in technology and crypto
- Experience leading and scaling a community-driven project
- Operational experience in a crypto startup/project
- Experience to managing and growing a team
- Very active on social media with an existing following on CT
- Deep connectivity in / understanding of the onchain builder community
- Great communicator, comfortable talking in public and hosting live events
- A relentless, growth-oriented self-starter
