Role Overview
They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Finance Manager to oversee treasury management, financial operations, and long-term financial strategy. This role has high growth potential, with an opportunity to transition into a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position as the company expands. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial health, optimizing cash flow, and supporting strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Treasury & Cash Flow Management
- Manage company liquidity, ensuring optimal cash positioning for operational and strategic needs.
- Oversee banking relationships and financial instruments to optimize cash flow.
- Implement risk management strategies to mitigate financial exposure, particularly in the volatile crypto market.
Financial Operations & Strategy
- Develop and implement financial controls, policies, and reporting structures.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support business growth.
- Work closely with leadership to define and execute financial strategy.
Crypto-Specific Financial Management
- Navigate regulatory, tax, and compliance challenges unique to the crypto industry.
- Optimize crypto payment processing and exchange integrations.
Growth & Leadership
- Lead and build a high-performing finance team.
- Drive financial insights and analysis to support executive decision-making.
External Partnerships & Negotiations
- Negotiate terms with external financial service providers (banks, payment processors, crypto exchanges, custody providers, etc.).
- Optimize financial vendor relationships for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
What They’re Looking For
- Experience: 4+ years in finance, with at least 1 year managing financial operations for a company in the crypto space (exchange, DeFi protocol, trading firm, etc.).
- Leadership: Experience leading finance teams and scaling financial operations.
- Strategic Thinker: Proven ability to drive financial strategy and support executive decision-making.
- Crypto & Tech-Savvy: Strong understanding of crypto financial operations, digital asset management, and blockchain-based financial tools.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with crypto regulations, tax implications, and compliance best practices.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA/CPA preferred but not required).
