About the Role:
We are looking for a Junior NOC Engineer to join our Network Operations Center (NOC) team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with minimal experience who are eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
As a NOC Engineer, you will be responsible for proactivemonitoring, L1 response to alerts, managing incidents, assisting with access management, writing documentation, and hands-on technical projects. You will work closely with senior engineers and operations teams to ensure uptime, reduce disruptions, and improve efficiency. This role will provide hands-on training, career development, and exposure to cutting-edge fintech infrastructure.
What You’ll Do:
Monitor Systems & Respond to Alerts
- Monitor dashboards, alerts, and logs to detect potential incidents.
- Identify and escalate issues based on severity and impact.
- Assist in proactive monitoring and reporting anomalies before they escalate.
Incident Handling & Communication
- Respond to L1 (first-level) incidents and attempt initial troubleshooting.
- Document incidents, escalate critical issues, and provide timely updates.
- Communicate with internal teams and third-party service providers as needed.
Access Management & Operational Tasks
- Manage basic user access requests (granting/removing permissions).
- Ensure compliance with security best practices while handling access.
- Maintain documentation and follow predefined processes.
Collaboration & Continuous Learning
- Work closely with senior engineers to improve operational workflows and work on technical projects.
- Participate in team discussions, training, and process improvements.
- Learn to use monitoring tools, automation, and scripting to optimize operations.
Who You Are (Qualifications & Skills):
Education & Experience:
- Recent graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field OR 6-12 months of experience in an IT, DevOps, or infrastructure support role.
- Basic understanding of Linux, networking, and cloud computing is a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with basic command-line operations (Linux).
- Exposure to AWS, or any cloud infrastructure (preferred, but not required).
- Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, DNS, VPNs) is a plus.
- Basic experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or New Relic is a plus.
- Some exposure to scripting (Python, Bash, or Go) is a plus (not required but encouraged).
