About the Opportunity
We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer for our Payments Team. This role will provide an early and significant impact on the engineering team in the US. You will be working with product managers, designers, and leading other engineers to develop foundational elements for a scalable, resilient, and observable payment platform.
What You’ll Be Doing

Design and develop high-scale, 24/7 APIs and distributed payment services across multiple cloud providers, using Java and Spring Boot as the primary tech stack.

Participate in code reviews, offering and receiving constructive feedback to uphold code quality and best practices.

Investigate and troubleshoot complex technical challenges, proactively identifying and implementing effective solutions.

Stay ahead of industry trends, continuously learning and applying the latest advancements in technology and software development.

Collaborate with a fast-paced, high-performing team, driving innovation and excellence in everything you do.
What We Look For In You

8+ years of backend software development experience with a proven track record of building and maintaining high-availability, large-scale applications.

Strong foundation in software engineering principles, including data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.

Ability to drive cross-team collaboration, effectively managing complex dependencies and requirements.

Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Passion for the crypto or fintech industry, with a strong interest in building innovative solutions in this space.
Nice to Have

Experience with Java Spring Boot is preferred.

Background in payment systems and platforms is highly desirable.

OKX Statement
The salary range for this position is $238,518 to $273,923. The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition to the salary, a performance bonus and long-term incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
