A quick run-down of the job
The People Operations Specialist will play a pivotal role within the Operations team - dedicated to overseeing and enhancing the employee lifecycle and experience to support the growth of our organisation. As a People Operations Specialist, you will be mostly working on on pre- and onboarding processes, contracting, employee lifecycle management, and administrative tasks, with opportunities to contribute to various people and operations initiatives. Your role will have a strong collaboration with internal teams to maintain and improve the experience for both new hires and employees as part of our company’s goals.

What you’ll do
- Support and provide guidance for variety of HR-related requests and processes throughout the entire employee lifecycle in accordance with existing process documentation and HR policies
- Coordinate end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless experience
- Ensure accuracy/completeness of current and historical employee data (contracts, payroll, compensation/title changes) and own our HRIS
- Review, update and maintain HR services documentations and processes with a focus on continued improvement
- Develop, maintain, and update process documentation in the company handbook to enhance transparency and efficiency
- Working on people and culture initiatives such as employee engagement learning and development, performance reviews, and more
What makes a good candidate
- Must be located in the EMEA region
- Relevant experience in (international) HR, people operations, global mobility or payroll in Germany
- Experience building and implementing employee onboarding/offboarding, engagement programs, and employer branding
- Proactivity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of HRIS systems (ideally Hibob)
- Understanding of German labor laws and employment regulations
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
- A clear sense of ownership, responsibility and accountability for tasks
- Strong communication skills (written and spoken) required in English and in German
- A high level of discretion and confidentiality to handle confidential data
- Willingness to quickly and successfully embrace and adapt change
- Experience in a fast-paced startup environment is a plus
- Remote working experience is a plus
- Experience with recruitment activities is a plus
- Understanding of European labor laws is a plus
- An understanding of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency concepts is a plus
