Overall Role Purpose
You’re always scrolling through Twitter, comfortable with short-form video, and love creating conversations. The Marketing & Social Media Executive will help build and amplify Wirex’s social media presence through engaging content creation, while also supporting cross-channel marketing campaigns. Collaboration is key in this role!
You’ll also be responsible for creating video content, both behind and in front of the camera—whether it’s short-form clips for TikTok and Instagram, product explainers, or live Q&As. You should be confident presenting on camera and understand how to produce engaging video content that connects with an audience.
Main Responsibilities of the Role
35% Social Media Content Creation & Execution
- Create and manage an engaging, relevant, and influential social media content calendar—including video, memes, images, and copy.
- Develop short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Twitter to drive engagement and community interaction.
- Be comfortable appearing on camera for live streams, video explainers, and behind-the-scenes content.
- Create and edit high-quality images and graphics using Photoshop, Canva, or similar tools to support social media campaigns.
- Work closely with design and video teams to develop high-quality visuals and assets
35% Campaign Coordination & Execution
- Help coordinate and deliver an activity plan based on the global marketing strategy, working with various stakeholders within and outside the business.
- Assist in planning and executing paid and organic social media campaigns, incorporating video content to maximize reach.
15% Insights & Trends
- Have your finger on the pulse of all things crypto/finance to form fresh propositions and stay ahead of the curve.
- React to trends in real-time, especially on Twitter and TikTok, and leverage opportunities to create viral content.
15% Reporting & Optimisation
- Analyze performance across social media platforms, video content, and campaigns to help optimize and grow engagement.
- Use data-driven insights to continuously improve content strategy.
Experience & Skills Required
- Degree in Marketing or equivalent.
- 1-2 years in a similar role, with a focus on social media and video content creation.
- Ability to create ‘social-first’ copy, short-form video content, and images.
- Experience growing organic engagement on social platforms like Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram—a huge plus!
- Confident appearing on camera and engaging with audiences through video content.
- Strong understanding of video editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Canva, or similar).
- Proficient in image editing software (e.g., Photoshop, Canva, or similar tools) for social media graphics and content.
- Comfortable recording, scripting, and editing videos for social media.
- Obsessed with all things crypto and finance.
- Excellent understanding of social media marketing, video storytelling, and best practices.
- Highly creative, self-motivated, and driven to achieve goals.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments.
- A critical thinker—able to operate independently and flexibly.
