About the role
Stablecoins have found an undeniable product-market fit, offering businesses a 24/7, programmable, and cost-efficient dollar for everything from global commerce to treasury management.
As the Head of Product for Stablecoin Issuance, you are the business owner responsible for defining the strategy, growth, and P&L outcomes of our core issuance franchise. This is a critical leadership position focused on leveraging our regulated infrastructure to not only ensure the stability of assets like PYUSD (issued for PayPal) and USDG (issued for Global Dollar Network), but also to enable any business to easily access and benefit from the power of stablecoins. Your mandate is to make it simple for partners to utilize our platform to offer the asset, supporting rewards, and the underlying infrastructure necessary for their own commercial success.
Key Areas of Ownership
1. Strategic Commercial Enablement & P&L
- Issuance P&L Ownership: Define and own the strategic roadmap, financial targets, and P&L for the stablecoin issuance business unit.
- Ease of Access & Rewards: Lead the product strategy to make it seamless for businesses and strategic partners to get access to a regulated stable asset, implement rewards programs, and integrate the necessary supporting infrastructure (APIs, tools) to grow their stablecoin volume.
- Commercial Partner Enablement: Drive the expansion of our core issuance platform capabilities to unblock and scale commercial partner adoption, addressing market-specific needs for B2B payments, treasury operations, and digital commerce.
- Market Leadership: Analyze global regulatory and competitive landscapes to ensure the Paxos issuance platform remains the most trusted, compliant, and attractive B2B solution.
2. Regulated Issuance Management
- Core Issuance Oversight: Drive the complete product lifecycle (issuance, redemption, compliance) for coins issued on our platform, including PYUSD and USDG, ensuring industry-leading speed, reliability, and security.
- Regulatory & Audit Integrity: Oversee the evolution of the core issuance platform, prioritizing features related to regulatory compliance, security, treasury integration, and auditability to meet the highest standards of global regulators.
- Banking & Treasury Integration: Direct the platform roadmap for fiat-to-digital asset reconciliation and banking partner integration that supports high-volume issuance and redemption.
3. Leadership & Executive Management
- Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing product management team focused on core issuance and B2B enablement.
- Executive Alignment: Act as the primary product authority for Issuance, driving strategic consensus with the Executive Team, Legal, Compliance, and Engineering leadership.
About You (Skills and Background)
- 8-12 years of progressive Product Management experience, with a minimum of 5+ years leading a P&L-focused product line or business unit and 3+ years managing direct reports (Product Managers).
- Domain Expertise: Deep technical and regulatory knowledge of stablecoin issuance, treasury management, and B2B/Partner-facing Financial Infrastructure (e.g., BaaS).
- Business Acumen: Demonstrated success in defining and growing a product line in a highly competitive and regulated environment, with clear accountability for commercial outcomes.
- Product Management experience at a B2B SaaS, fintech, or infrastructure company.
- Proven record of building and scaling high-growth products, ideally in payments, digital assets, or blockchain.
- Experience with both 0-to-1 innovation and scaling of established platforms.
- Technical acumen (comfortable working with APIs, blockchain protocols, and engineering teams).
- Strong communication and leadership skills; able to inspire and mobilize cross-functional teams.
