Who You Are:
You are a highly motivated equities and options trader with a proven track record executing U.S. listed equities, ETFs, and options for institutional clients in a high-touch, fast-paced environment. With prior experience on the sell side, you bring strong trade execution skills and a deep understanding of best execution practices across cash equities and listed derivatives. This role reports directly to the Head of Equity Options Sales and Strategy as part of Galaxy’s broker-dealer unit, a new business line.
What You’ll Do:
- Execute U.S.-listed equities, ETFs, and listed options orders on behalf of Galaxy’s institutional clients with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism
- Contribute to the build-out and enhancement of Galaxy’s broker-dealer execution capabilities in U.S. listed markets, a new business line for the firm with a focus on the growing number of equities and ETFs with exposure to the crypto ecosystem
- Utilize electronic trading platforms and tools to ensure timely and efficient execution
- Engage and maintain strong communication with liquidity providers to access optimal pricing and liquidity
- Ensure compliance with best execution standards and regulatory requirements across all trade flows
- Collaborate closely with internal sales, operations, and compliance teams to deliver seamless client service
- Monitor and respond to rapidly changing market conditions, providing timely insights and execution strategies
- Adapt to new workflows and technologies in a fast-paced trading environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of four years of experience in cash equities and equity options trading in a high touch environment
- Strong understanding of equity markets, options trading strategies, and market microstructure
- Proficiency in trading platforms and financial software
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
- Series 7 and 63 licenses required
