What the role involves:
As Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of decentralized governance initiatives across various Web3 projects. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership, including Business, Product and Technology leadership, to align on budgets, timelines, and strategic priorities. You will ensure that delivery goals are clearly communicated to senior stakeholders and work with leadership teams to manage dependencies, mitigate risks, and remove blockers. You ensure delivery outcomes are achieved within scope and time, while promoting continuous improvement and agile best practices across the teams you support. You will also lead the team through Program Increment (PI) Planning events, promoting lean and agile best practices that enhance both the "What" and the "How" of delivery.
- Lead and facilitate the Program Increment planning process, aligning business unit objectives with the company's strategic goals.
- Foster collaboration and communication across teams and organizations, promoting transparency and cross-team cooperation.
- Take ownership of the delivery process within the business unit, monitoring progress and resolving potential issues.
- Work with business unit leaders and team leads to allocate resources effectively and optimize resource utilization.
- Identify and assess risks related to PI delivery, implementing mitigation plans to ensure successful outcomes.
- Collaborate with external organizations, vendors and service providers to drive decision making, ensure timely project deliverables, monitor service quality, and maintain performance standards.
- Support contract execution by tracking vendor activities, resolving minor issues, and escalating major concerns to senior leadership when needed.
- Champion the adoption of agile practices, coaching teams, and driving continuous improvement in delivery processes.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs): Monitor delivery metrics such as team velocity, predictability, and quality.
- Prepare regular reports for stakeholders and use insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, driving initiatives to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization, coordinating with other Delivery Managers for alignment.
- Promote innovation and creative problem-solving within teams to deliver impactful solutions.
Requirements
Who you are:
- 5 years of experience working on software products, ideally in Web3, in roles such as Project Manager, Delivery Manager, Scrum Master, Business Analyst, Product Owner, Software Engineer, or QA.
- At least 5 years of experience leading teams using Scrum or Kanban.
- Proven experience managing contracts and commercial terms (e.g., involvement in Statements of Work) and vendor management.
- Skilled in program governance, risk management, and reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in technology or a relevant field.
- Extensive software delivery experience covering all aspects of SDLC and Product Development Lifecycle (PDL).
- Adept at stakeholder management and relationship building
- Expertise in Scrum, Kanban and other agile techniques.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficient problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Systems thinking and strategic mindset.
- Experience in budget and vendor management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation skills.
