About the team
The Coinbase Canada team is focused on driving our operations and growth strategy across the country. We collaborate cross-functionally to launch features tailored to the Canadian market, run localised marketing campaigns, and ensure the Coinbase experience meets the expectations of Canadian users.
We aim to expand Coinbase’s presence in Canada by delivering impactful features and experiences designed for local users. From payment integrations to promotional efforts, our goal is to make Coinbase the platform of choice for Canadians entering the world of crypto. Compliance plays a key role in our work. The team is committed to identifying and mitigating risks that could affect the business, while continuously improving our processes to align with Canadian regulatory standards. Whether it's optimising KYC flows or refining internal operations, we're building for long-term trust and sustainability in the Canadian market.
What You'll Be Doing
- Build and help design elegant, functional, and high-performance user experiences.
- Own and implement product features that directly drive revenue for the company.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to turn product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap each quarter.
- Write high-quality, well-tested code that meets customer needs.
- Solve unique, large-scale, and highly complex technical problems.
What We Look for in You
- 2+ years of experience developing web applications and shipping user-facing features using JavaScript and modern component-based frameworks (e.g., React).
- Proven experience building and delivering user-facing features with modern UI frameworks.
- Strong understanding of front-end architecture best practices, including performance optimization, security, and usability.
- Experience collaborating across product and design lifecycles with designers, engineers, and product managers.
- Commitment to writing high-quality, well-tested code that serves real customer needs.
- Experience working on the backend, including building and maintaining APIs, integrating with databases, and contributing to server-side logic.
- Comfortable working across the full stack to deliver end-to-end solutions and collaborating with backend teams for seamless integration and performance.
Nice to Haves
- Experience as a Full Stack Developer.
- Fluency in both English and French.
- Comfortable with public speaking and participating in tech conferences.
