The opportunity
Reporting to the Sales Director, Institutional position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter, comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be responsible for prospecting and onboarding institutional clients as well as covering them day to day and owning and building the relationship as their primary point of contact to Uphold. In this capacity you will seek to become a meaningful trading counterparty and deepen the strategic position of Uphold products and services within client workflows. In addition to day to day coverage, you will be involved in the sourcing, quoting, and executing of client transactions.
The Institutional desk at Uphold is still in its early days, so this is an opportunity to join a small, tight-knit team at the ground level that has a lot of green space in front of it. We’re looking for zero-ego teammates with strong interpersonal skills, a strong desire to win, and able to work with colleagues across the organization to help build a solid business unit.
What you'll be doing:
- Identifying new business opportunities and contributing to the growth of the institutional business.
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding process and client experience.
- Sourcing, quoting, and executing trades for institutional and high volume individual clients across a range of digital assets.
- Managing client requests, ensuring timely follow-ups and delivering a high level of proactive service to Upholds largest clients.
- Building trust and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with institutional clients.
- Staying up-to-date with market trends and competitor offerings to deliver optimal trading strategies.
Requirements:
- A passion for, and understanding of, digital assets/crypto.
- Outcome oriented with desire to do what it takes to win.
- 2-5 years experience in crypto OTC sales and trading.
- Confident verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience solving complex problems end-to-end.
- Flexible with hours, including weekends, for support coverage.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, marketing, communications, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with remote teams.
