About Chainlink
Chainlink is the industry-standard oracle platform bringing the capital markets onchain and powering the majority of decentralized finance (DeFi). The Chainlink stack provides the essential data, interoperability, compliance, and privacy standards needed to power advanced blockchain use cases for institutional tokenized assets, lending, payments, stablecoins, and more. Since inventing decentralized oracle networks, Chainlink has enabled tens of trillions in transaction value and now secures the vast majority of DeFi.
Many of the world’s largest financial services institutions have also adopted Chainlink’s standards and infrastructure, including Swift, Euroclear, Mastercard, Fidelity International, UBS, S&P Dow Jones Indices, FTSE Russell, WisdomTree, ANZ, and top protocols such as Aave, Lido, GMX and many others. Chainlink leverages a novel fee model where offchain and onchain revenue from enterprise adoption is converted to LINK tokens and stored in a strategic Chainlink Reserve. Learn more at chain.link.
About the Role
Build and evolve core components of the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE) - the execution layer that enables Chainlink products to run reliably across decentralized networks. CRE powers how services connect, coordinate, and execute across multiple environments, forming the foundation for scalable, production-grade Web3 systems.
In this role, you’ll own meaningful components end to end and delivering features that directly impact how Chainlink products function in real-world conditions.
Your Impact
- Own component-level (and larger) engineering work from design through production release.
- Deliver key CRE features that enable services to operate across multiple decentralized oracle network (DON) environments.
- Build and maintain systems that prioritize reliability, correctness, and scalability under real-world usage.
- Collaborate with teammates and cross-functional partners to ensure solutions are technically sound and product-aligned.
- Contribute to a strong product mindset by connecting engineering decisions to customer and ecosystem needs.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously and drive work to completion with clear ownership.
- Proven experience delivering production-quality software and owning features end to end.
- Strong execution skills, including debugging, testing, and operating systems in live environments.
- Solid software engineering fundamentals with the ability to learn new languages, tools, and systems quickly.
- Clear written and verbal communication within a team setting.
Preferred Skills
- Product-focused mindset with attention to user impact and system usability.
- Experience working collaboratively within an engineering team.
- Exposure to Go (Golang) or similar backend languages.
- Familiarity with Web3, distributed systems, or infrastructure-heavy platforms.
- Background that includes both larger, established engineering organizations and smaller or fast-moving teams.
