About the Role
We’re looking for a QA Engineer to ensure Drift delivers a world-class trading experience. You’ll be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying critical bugs, and building automated testing systems that guarantee reliability, security, and performance across our platform. Working closely with engineers and product managers, you’ll be the last line of defense before features go live, ensuring trust and confidence for our traders.
Responsibilities
- Own the testing strategy for Drift’s trading platform, including manual, automated, functional, and performance testing
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites for frontend
- Develop and execute test cases to validate product requirements, ensuring high-quality feature delivery
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution, collaborating with engineers to reproduce and fix issues
- Establish and evolve best practices for QA processes, tooling, and CI/CD integration
- Partner with product and engineering teams to define acceptance criteria, success metrics, and quality benchmarks
- Proactively monitor product health, catching regressions early and ensuring stable releases
Requirements
- MUST HAVE: detail-oriented mindset, proactive ownership, and passion for shipping flawless user experiences
- Experience in software QA or test automation roles, ideally within fintech, trading, or blockchain environments
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, testing types (functional, regression, performance, security), and bug lifecycle
- Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g. Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Jest, Mocha)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and QA integration (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.)
- Bonus: experience with Solana, DeFi protocols, or performance testing high-throughput systems
