About the role
As our Senior Marketing Manager at Octav, you will lead our marketing efforts and position Octav as the Web3 ecosystem's most trusted source for financial data. This role is perfect for an experienced marketing professional with a proven track record in driving user acquisition and brand authority. You will steer our marketing vision, shape our brand identity, pilot new user acquisition and ultimately drive Octav’s evolution to a Series A startup.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Content and Product Marketing Plans
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy from brand awareness to driving traffic and account creation on our platform.
- Tailor Octav’s product mix to resonate with each target audience segment by identifying key pain points, optimal positioning, and unique differentiation.
- Lead the promotional elements of our marketing mix, managing and optimizing all communication channels (content, social, partnerships, and more) to increase platform traffic and user accounts.
- Establish a marketing plan that combines content, product, and co-marketing initiatives.
- Create and track KPIs for Product & Content marketing, ensuring we meet our performance goals across all channels.
- Own the Marketing Team and Experience
- Take charge of the end-to-end marketing operations, managing the team’s daily activities, and guiding their professional growth.
- Delegate effectively and provide strategic direction for our Social Media Manager and Video Editor.
- Oversee the development, review, and release of high quality content, adjusting content pillars based on performance metrics to maximize engagement and conversion.
- Champion Innovation and Marketing Leadership
- Drive marketing discussions, proposing solutions, and mentor junior marketing members.
- Evangelize best practices and cultivate a culture of excellent communicators.
- Establish and manage the marketing budget strategically, making informed decisions to maximize our impact.
Requirements
- Startup Mindset: Thrilled by the challenges and opportunities of a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Must be based in Montreal, Canada and work hybridly in office 1 day per week.
- Proven experience (4+ years) as a Marketing Specialist in SaaS and/or FinTech with a strong background in developing a marketing plan and stepping up as a leader within a marketing team.
- Data Enthusiast: Knowledge of setting up KPI/metric tracking platforms such as Gainsight, Google tag manager, and Google analytics.
- Influencer/KOL Champion: Familiarity with sourcing, negotiating, and creating converting campaigns with influencers.
- Leadership Qualities: Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior marketers.
- Passionate about Web3: A keen understanding of Web3 and DeFi landscapes and a desire to shape its future, is a plus.
