Role Overview We are looking for an exceptional Lead Developer to head the full development of our application, ensuring the project meets the highest standards of quality and functionality. This role requires a technical expert with strong backend skills in NodeJS, TypeScript, Postgres, OpenSearch, and AWS. Additionally, you must possess leadership qualities to inspire, coordinate, and unite cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and designers.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Stack Leadership: Lead the design, development, and deployment, whilst maintaining high performance and scalability.
- Backend Development: Utilize NodeJS and TypeScript to build robust backend systems, including database management with Postgres and search capabilities with OpenSearch.
- Cloud Integration: Ensure seamless integration and optimization of AWS services.
- Team Rallying: Inspire and lead cross-functional teams, driving progress and maintaining clear communication among developers, project managers, and designers.
- Best Practices: Uphold code quality, establish best practices for development and deployment, and manage documentation.
- Innovative Problem-Solving: Identify challenges, devise solutions, and pivot efficiently as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior stakeholders and align with company objectives to ensure successful delivery.
Requirements
- Experience: 7+ years in development, with at least 2-3 years in a lead role managing full projects.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in NodeJS and TypeScript for backend development.
- Deep understanding of Postgres database design and optimization.
- Experience with OpenSearch or similar search solutions.
- Familiarity with AWS services, including deployment and management.
- Leadership Insight: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, ensuring productive collaboration.
