The Solana Foundation is a non-profit based in Zug, Switzerland, dedicated to the adoption, decentralization, and security of the Solana network. The Opportunity
Solana Foundation is seeking a highly driven full-time DeFi Growth Lead. Within this role you will be the primary point of contact for DeFi teams building within the Solana ecosystem. You will also serve as the primary point of contact for new DeFi teams entering the ecosystem and facilitating their success in deploying and growing on Solana. As the role progresses, you will be responsible for setting growth initiatives for the DeFi ecosystem and target areas of focus for the Solana Foundation to make an impact.
If successful in this role, the expectation is that you will entirely own and operate the DeFi vertical for the Solana Foundation growth team.

To be successful in this role
You will be:
- Meeting with Solana DeFi teams regularly, both old and new, to assist them in their journey of building atop the Solana protocol
- Helping teams brainstorm new product ideas and how to bring those products to life
- Parsing through the Solana Foundation’s inbound DeFi grant applications
- Owning and setting the agendas for recurring DeFi events, such as the Monthly DeFi Roundtable
- Proactively thinking about where DeFi is going and how the Solana Foundation can best support builders in pursuit of that future
- Working with a talented group of individuals within the Solana Foundation to set ecosystem wide strategy
You ideally have:
- At least [3] years of experience in the blockchain ecosystem
- Strong understanding of the existing Solana DeFi landscape
- Demonstration of strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to ruthlessly prioritize while also demonstrating proper business etiquette
- Know when and where to automate tasks to increase your own operational efficiency
- Ability to work interdisciplinary with engineering, marketing, and other sub organizations within the Solana Foundation
Bonus points:
- You’ve previously been employed within the Solana ecosystem
- You have a technical background and ability to understand nuances of Solana programs
- You are located in the greater New York area or are open to relocation
