Xverse is the most advanced and user-friendly Bitcoin wallet, supporting Ordinals, Runes, BRC20, Stacks, and Rare Sats. Available on iOS, Android, and as a Chrome browser extension, Xverse enables secure management of Bitcoin on layer 1 and layer 2 networks like Stacks, with more networks coming soon. We are looking for someone with deep experience in backend-focused fullstack development, especially in Bitcoin or related products.
You will develop features for a Bitcoin wallet that extends web3 solutions, patterns and protocols. This could be work related to NFTs, Ordinals, tokens and other programmable assets, decentralized file storage, layer-2 networks, smart contract wallets, decentralized identity systems, wallet provider APIs and more.
You love being at the frontier of new technologies. You are articulate, resourceful, and have strong opinions about how to bring the mission to life, yet, you are able to work collaboratively with others with respect and an open mind.
Responsibilities:
- Build developer tooling and API integrations to connect apps with Xverse
- Design and build backend services
- Work on the core library that powers Xverse on multiple platforms
- Review code to mitigate potential security vulnerabilities
- Inform and implement best practices for writing secure code
- Identify and define system security requirements and recommend solutions
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
- Solve novel problems that involve multidisciplinary knowledge
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Understanding BTC transactions and how they work (UTXOs, different types of addresses, scripts, etc.), how to construct them efficiently, how to attain broader knowledge about a transaction (e.g. effective fee rates, traverse the history of the transaction, etc.)
- 5+ years of experience as a full stack engineer, mainly focusing on backend.
- Experience working with developer tooling or platforms.
- Experience working with backend services and cloud provider like GCP
- Experience with Kubernetes, NodeJS, typescript, GCP or other cloud providers
- Experience working with Bitcoin, crypto and Web 3 technologies
- Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, well-tested, secure code
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
