About the Team:
The Compliance department at OKX is responsible for the overall compliance culture at the company. We’re a team of risk-minded problem solvers who advise the business on the company’s regulatory obligations and the Compliance risk. We operate a global/local Compliance model, whereby subject matter experts within Central Compliance support local in-country Compliance Officers to ensure their programs are robust, consistent, and meet both local regulatory requirements and internal global standards.
The Global Compliance Monitoring and Testing (GCMT) team is an independent and oversight function responsible for planning and executing monitoring and testing activities to ensure the Company meets with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and internal policies. The team is also responsible for performing periodic reviews and providing updates and reports on overall health of the company to ensure consistency across operating jurisdictions with ultimate goals of identifying potential compliance risks, trends, and performance, to mitigate control gaps and improve efficiency.
What You'll be Doing:
This role will oversee the development and enhancement of the Compliance Monitoring and Testing Program, partnering closely with other Compliance Leaders, Legal, Product, Engineering and Risk. This role will develop and maintain a comprehensive monitoring and testing plan leading to the early identification and sustainable mitigation of regulatory, reputational, and operational risk.
In this role you will:

Own, design/refine, and manage the Compliance Monitoring and Testing Program, including but not limited to strategy, roadmap and controls to address regulatory requirements.

Lead, train and mentor a team responsible for conducting comprehensive reviews globally.

Communicate our compliance framework and GCMT Program requirements to all relevant stakeholders (internal and external).

Engage cross-functionally (with groups such as Engineering, Legal, Product, Risk, and other Compliance Leaders) to establish global processes, standards, documentation and test plans.

Assist with special projects as needed, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Lead and provide guidance to Compliance Analysts and a potential growing team.

Define strategy for implementation and enhancement of the GCMT Program and team.

Develop Global Compliance reporting structure to provide transparency across global and regional Compliance functions.

Prepare Compliance reports, including reports to management and other materials as required by direct and matrix stakeholders and submit timely.

Have a deep understanding of OKX products, services, features, and applicable domestic and international compliance requirements.

Stay informed of regulatory developments, industry trends and OKX compliance road maps.

Work very closely, support, and coordinate with various stakeholders and departments, including but not limited to, local compliance teams, other central compliance functions, Legal, Product, and Engineering.

Drive and influence stakeholders, to achieve buy-in, task completion, and awareness to facilitate timely actions.

Define and implement compliance standards, best practices, and processes.

Proactively problem-solve and translate complex regulatory & policy requirements into practical business solutions.

Drive a proactive change management approach.

Develop frameworks for and project-manage execution of effective change management processes. Report on progress.

Perform data analysis and create periodic reporting for various constituents, including board members, executive leadership, and local compliance members.
What We Look For in You:
-
7+ years of experience in compliance with financial services, FinTech or cryptocurrency industries.
-
4+ years of management experience for a team lead role.
-
Experience in compliance monitoring and testing roles, preferably overseeing CMT programs, testing plans, and activities across a global footprint.

Knowledge and understanding of crypto, compliance regulations, financial services regulations, internal policies, processes, and procedures.

Proven leadership and project management skills to drive alignment across stakeholder groups to develop and deliver repeatable end-to-end monitoring and testing processes and controls.

Have familiarity with AML, money transmission, and consumer protection regulations, and industry best practices.

Ability to manage initiatives involving process improvements and to lead projects with high risk and complexity.

Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to interact and lead discussions comfortably with stakeholders, senior levels of management and regulators.

Have excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.

Know how to perform data analysis and are comfortable with working with large datasets.

Proven ability to work within and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Prior experience working in a global environment and/or Fintech and/or crypto exchange.

CAMS, PMI, or equivalent certification

OKX Statement:
The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $228,000. The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition to the salary, a performance bonus and long-term incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
