We’re looking for an experienced marketing professional with a strong background in finance and cryptocurrency to join the Coinbase team. Ideal candidates will possess an in-depth knowledge of the Canadian market, with a particular focus on Canada. Additionally, you’ll be adept at strategizing and executing successful marketing campaigns that resonate with both the finance and crypto sectors while catering to the unique needs of the Canadian audience.
What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):
- Strategic Campaign Management: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies (using Paid and Owned & Operated channels) aligned with Coinbase's business objectives, ensuring cohesive campaigns across various channels to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineer, Design, and Data Science, to align marketing initiatives with product launches, feature updates, and market trends, ensuring a unified approach and consistent messaging.
- Performance Analytics and Optimization: Utilize data-driven insights to assess the performance of marketing campaigns, conduct A/B testing, and optimize strategies for maximum impact. Regularly report on key performance metrics, providing actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Meaningful Content Creation: Develop and implement a cohesive content strategy, create engaging content, and stay updated on industry trends to ensure impactful communication across diverse channels.
- Events & Community Management: Plan, execute, and oversee marketing events, both virtual and in-person, to enhance brand visibility and engage the community. Manage community initiatives, cultivating relationships with users and influencers to foster a vibrant and supportive community around Coinbase.
What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):
- Autonomy: Ability to work autonomously, taking ownership of marketing initiatives and making informed decisions to drive results.
- Experience: 7+ years of proven experience in a marketing role, preferably within the fintech, crypto or technology industry, with a track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies (from paid to owned & operated channels).
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data insights to inform decision-making. Proficiency in using analytics tools and platforms (Amplitude, Looker, Superset) to measure campaign performance and optimize marketing strategies.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to convey complex ideas and strategies clearly and effectively to internal teams, stakeholders, and external audiences.
