You will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support and guidance related to our US monitorship obligations. This role requires a deep understanding of US regulatory frameworks, excellent legal drafting skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as one of the primary legal points of contact for US monitorship-related matters.
- Provide legal guidance and counsel in coordination with cross-functional teams to effectively respond to the ongoing monitoring by the government-appointed monitorship of the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and sanctions compliance programs.
- Partner closely with cross-functional and regional teams, supporting on complex legal matters of diverse complexity, sensitivity, and significance.
- Review and analyze monitorship reports, findings, and recommendations to ensure timely and effective responses.
Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer with 5-10 years of experience at a reputable global law firm.
- In-house experience is a plus.
- A proven history in litigation and contentious regulatory matters.
- Admitted to practice in at least one U.S. state.
- A comprehensive understanding of both AML and sanctions compliance programs.
- Robust analytical skills with an eye for detail.
- Capable of working proactively in both independent and team environments.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
