We are looking for an exceptional Treasury and finance senior associate to join the Coinbase Treasury Operations team. The right candidate has experience in a fast paced environment and not only runs towards problems, but works to make things better. This role oversees all product launches that impact Treasury, including payment integrations, new banks partnerships, stablecoins, system changes etc. Additionally, the role covers corporate insurance, intercompany funding, M&A point of contact, and more. The role is pivotal in the success of the Treasury team, Coinbase, and supporting our mission to create economic freedom in the world.
What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):
- Work cross functionally with the Business Controllership, product, and engineering
- Scope incoming product launch requests to understand the requirements and identify key Treasury stakeholders
- Work with subject matter experts within the Treasury team to assess the impact of new products on daily operations
- Identify needed process change or technology requirements to support new products. Support build, testing, and implementation
- Documentation of work-completed and sign-offs
- Compile volume reporting and projections
- Develop forecasts and volume reporting based on actuals
- Work with business development for new business volume projections
- Support banking strategy
- Fee and cost reporting
- Manage day-to-day communications with corporate insurance brokers
- Review new insurance requests with Head of Treasury Operations
- Manage request process through to completion
- Oversee daily insurance operations (i.e. Internal business requests, RFIs, Proof of coverage, Regulatory requests, Invoicing management)
- Intercompany Funding and Liquidity Management (review and champion all new requests for capital and complete monthly liquidity analysis review)
- Identify sources of capital inefficiencies
What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):
- Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline.Advanced degree preferred6+ years of work experience in a Finance, Treasury, or Business Development role
- Ability to interact, influence and build relationships at all levels of seniority and across all functions within an organization
- Familiarity with the Coinbase suite of products.
- Must be a self-starter, have attention to detail, possess strong prioritization and organization skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects simultaneously
- Must have highly effective verbal, written, and presentation skills to articulate ideas and plans clearly, accurately, and effectively with all levels of internal and external audiences
- Efficient in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets and other Microsoft/G-Suite product
Nice to haves:
- MBA, CFA
- Experience with global payments companies
- Experience and general interest in the crypto currency and blockchain space a plus
