The Infrastructure and Security Engineer role is a critical member of our IT team providing network and cloud troubleshooting expertise, management of end user technical issues, and participation in infrastructure and security related projects/initiatives.
- The infrastructure and security engineer role requires at least 3 years experience with cloud infrastructure and security technologies and an eagerness to learn and ability adapt to a constantly evolving environment.
- This is a hands-on position, requiring a solid background in network troubleshooting, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a comprehensive understanding of endpoint optimization, management and security.
- Key skills are maturity, technical acumen and grace under pressure as well as the ability to prioritize tasks, identify risks and effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Familiarity with compliance requirements such as ISO-27001 are also important
Requirements
- Must have at least 3 years experience with cloud infrastructure and security technologies
- Proficiency in network troubleshooting and a thorough understanding of IP routing and subnetting as well as tools such as Wireshark.
- Experience managing and administering cloud environments such as Azure and AWS Hands-on experience with container orchestration, administration and troubleshooting Knowledge of endpoint security, including administration and troubleshooting of VPNs, client OS hardening, optimization, security technologies and troubleshooting
- The ability to effectively balance and prioritize end user requests with other responsibilities Excellent written and verbal communication Familiarity and experience with security standards such as NIST as well as ISO-27001.
