Exodus is looking for a Payroll Manager who is passionate about ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processes in a rapidly growing, global company. Your role will be to manage and oversee Exodus' payroll functions, ensuring that payroll is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with all payroll regulations. We are specifically looking for a detail-oriented leader who is excited about optimizing payroll processes and providing top-notch service to our global team. You will join a dynamic team that values precision and collaboration in all aspects of financial management.
What You Will Do
- Manage and process bi-weekly and monthly payrolls for U.S. and international employees.
- Ensure accurate calculation, reporting, and payment of payroll taxes.
- Oversee audit and control procedures to maintain payroll accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure payroll records are audit-ready.
- Administer SOX controls, ensuring compliance with no deficiencies.
- Provide timely, white glove service for employee payroll inquiries.
- Continuously improve payroll processes and documentation.
- Stay updated on payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Assist with audits and maintain accurate documentation.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, HR, or related field.
- 5-7 years of payroll management experience, preferably in a global, remote setting.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, SOX compliance, and internal controls.
- Proven ability to optimize payroll systems with a focus on accuracy.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks.
- Strong communicator with collaborative, cross-functional team skills.
- Self-motivated and able to lead a process independently.
- Proficient with payroll software, ideally TriNet or similar platforms.
- You reside within the Pacific to Eastern time zones in the United States.
A Plus
- International and multi-state payroll experience.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification.
- Knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchain.

Benefits
Health: Most of our health insurance plans are covered 100% for you and covered 50% for your dependents. We’ll also cover dental insurance. If you are outside of the United States, we will reimburse you up to $500 per month for any medical and dental insurance for you and your dependents.
PTO: 30 days of paid time off per year on top of a flexible schedule where you can work wherever and whenever. If you’re part-time with us, you’ll still receive 15 days of paid time off.
Unlimited Bereavement: We will pay you your full salary for the first two weeks for the loss of any immediate family members but we allow you to take all the time you need to grieve outside of that.
Parental Leave: 13 weeks of fully paid leave with and a month of flexible work for the primary caregiver. 4 weeks of paid leave if you are the child's secondary caregiver.
