Ready to be pushed beyond what you think you’re capable of?
At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. It’s a massive, ambitious opportunity that demands the best of us, every day, as we build the emerging onchain platform — and with it, the future global financial system.
To achieve our mission, we’re seeking a very specific candidate. We want someone who is passionate about our mission and who believes in the power of crypto and blockchain technology to update the financial system. We want someone who is eager to leave their mark on the world, who relishes the pressure and privilege of working with high caliber colleagues, and who actively seeks feedback to keep leveling up. We want someone who will run towards, not away from, solving the company’s hardest problems.
Our work culture is intense and isn’t for everyone. But if you want to build the future alongside others who excel in their disciplines and expect the same from you, there’s no better place to be.
The Corporate Development & Ventures team partners closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to develop strategy and execute inorganic opportunities including M&A and strategic investments in order to advance Coinbase’s mission and business objectives.
What you’ll be doing:
- Conduct market research, synthesize findings, and work with senior team members to propose recommendations that shape company and product strategy.
- Lead and drive the execution of mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, as well as sourcing opportunities, conducting market landscapes, performing financial analysis, coordinating all aspects of due diligence, and supporting integration planning and execution in partnership with senior team members.
- Develop perspectives on key competitors, relative strengths and weaknesses, and implications for Coinbase.
- Partner with senior team members to cultivate cross-functional relationships with executives and assist in the implementation of high priority strategic initiatives.
- Build strong connections with industry players, startups, and investors to be at the forefront of new developments.
- Contribute to improving the Corporate Development team by enhancing existing processes and recruiting and developing new team members.
What we look for in you:

- Excellent analytic, problem solving, and communication skills coupled with a strong work ethic and intellectual curiosity for crypto.
- Passion for understanding new technology and desire to contribute to team initiatives.
