This person will be in charge of defining and implementing processes and procedures for IT Management. Managing devices, access control and enterprise networks using several resources, tools, and best practices. They will work directly with the Security and Engineering teams to determine proper ways to protect Mysten assets.
This role is for an active person who is able to coordinate with other teams and people across the company to improve our current practices. To succeed the candidate will need to be hands-on, have an eye to detail, focusing on enhancing and strengthening our security controls and best practices.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years experience in systems, networking, or security administration and experience in client-facing IT Help Desk role with demonstrated track record of excellence and increasing responsibilities
- You are an enthusiastic self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
- This role requires flexibility and the ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
- The ideal candidate will have a wide breadth of knowledge across a variety of technical disciplines such as networking, infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems administration, SaaS applications, endpoint management, etc
- The candidate should also have the ability to become a domain specialist in any one particular topic as the needs of the business dictates
- You know how to troubleshoot and diagnose effectively using your written word in a tone that is friendly and empathetic
- You carry this same demeanor into a video call when the situation calls for it
- Growth mindset, tech-native, resourceful, optimistic and proactive attitude, always willing to serve in any situation
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively within the most senior levels of the organization
- Aptness to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Experience managing large projects with multiple stakeholders and vendors (new systems implementations, new office build-outs, etc)
- Strong general troubleshooting skills to diagnose, identify, and resolve technical issues
- Strong MacOS and Windows skills are required
Responsibilities:
- This role will ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support core interpersonal functions
- It will also deliver a full spectrum of IT support to the firm
- Deliver a first-class, white-glove customer service experience for everyone who interacts with or within the technical systems of the firm
- Troubleshoot and resolve tier 2 IT requests across the entire organization up to and including our Founders
- Mentor and provide guidance to our junior team members
- Collaborate with the onsite IT Team Members as a conduit to supporting the end users when resolving issues
- Coordinate the firm's SaaS application infrastructure
- Craft and deploy new applications and improvements to existing applications, software, and operating systems
- Manage on/offboarding process of firm employees
- Configure, maintain, troubleshoot & repair all office computers, equipment & peripherals (with an emphasis on Apple products)
- Support all LAN/WAN networking infrastructure including maintenance, upgrades, migrations, and implementation.etc
- Monitor networks and systems for security vulnerabilities, malicious/suspicious behavior, availability and performance
- Implement security standard methodologies across all systems and make recommendations for constant improvement to the firm's cybersecurity posture
- Manage open projects and tasks using the IT Team's project management software
- Document existing and ongoing changes to all the systems and infrastructure
- Update and publish documentation and knowledge base articles
- Drink from the firehose: you will learn new technologies, understand new workflows, and build new technical skills
- Ability to reprioritize constantly is critical to succeed in this role
