Summary: Cboe Canada is actively seeking a highly motivated person to fill the role of Head of Finance (Director)
Responsibilities
- The primary responsibility of this role is to provide vital oversite and analysis of company financial performance for Cboe Canada’s operations.
- Manage the accounting, tax and finance functions within the business including monthly management reporting, annual financial statutory statements, quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting
- Oversee the budget and forecast process; research and communicate variance explanations between forecast and actuals, as well as between current and previous versions of the forecast; provide detail and analysis to the global financial planning team in US GAAP; coordinate globally with expense owners.
- Collaborate with business owners onrevenue models and analysis to support long term planning and strategy
- Oversee annual audit process and ongoing communication with the company’s regulators.Consult with US accounting team for consistency globally.
- Manage company’s tax planning and compliance.Partner with US tax team on tax returns, transfer pricing,master and local files, and global tax implications.
- Manage financial reporting to the company’s leadership team, board and US finance team.
- Active member of the company’s management team.
- Oversee cash planning and management including regulatory capital monitoring.Coordinate with US Treasury team for bank account set up and administration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA or MBA equivalent preferred
- Minimum 12 years of experience in financial analysis, consulting or accounting; publicly traded company experience preferred; IFRS and US GAAP experience preferred
- Must possess strong analytical, quantitative, and research skills. Intellectually curious.
- Proven leader and process owner. Desire to continually learn and improve.
- Must be able to communicate with all levels of management and staff and be a strong team player.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaboration skills across the global finance function, support departments and business lines.
