We are seeking a talented Associate Backend Engineer (Junior Software Engineer)to join our backend team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining digital asset solutions, primarily using NodeJS. The ideal candidate will have a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and a desire to work on challenging and exciting projects.
What You Will Do:
- Contribute to the development of decentralized applications for our state of the art blockchains.
- Build cutting edge fintech solutions utilizing blockchain technology.
- Unit test, document, and support the code you write.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- This is a remote role that can be worked nearly anywhere in the world; however this person must be able to work in the United States time zones.
What You Will Bring:
- 1+ years of experience in software engineering or the equivalent experience via university coursework and side projects.
- Git experience (github or other platform).
- Demonstrable experience with at least one scripting language (JavaScript, Python etc) and one compiled language (Java, C# etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A self-directed working style.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Used AWS to host an application or workload.
- Used Docker, Docker Desktop, and Docker Compose to develop containerized apps.
- Interest and experience in blockchain and fintech a plus.
