The role

The Business Development team is responsible for identifying the best partnership opportunities for OpenZeppelin's team and reaching out to the most exciting projects in the web3 ecosystem.

As a Business Development Representative, you will serve as the first point of contact for founders and investors of new Web3 projects, facilitating our Business Development team and helping with day-to-day tasks.

What you'll do

Research and identify new partnership opportunities and projects that are an excellent fit for OpenZeppelin's services.
Map decision makers on channels including, but not limited to, Telegram, LInkedIn, Discord, Forums, emails, conferences, etc.
Create copy for targeted outreach.
Schedule calls with potential partners and clients.
Send timely follow-ups and track each partnership. Coordinate next steps.
Maintain relationships with existing partners and clients, send updates about OpenZeppelin's news, and coordinate activity with the marketing team.

Requirements

2+ years of experience in a customer-facing role, with great communication skills via chat and email.
Excellent research skills, ability to skim long documents and information, and identify key points.
Concise communication style and ability to convey information in a short and clear format via text and video conferencing.
Curiosity to learn new things and explore innovative ideas.
Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
Ability to manage your own time, report on goals, and assess the progress of your work.
Passion and/or experience with blockchain technology, open-source, cybersecurity, or similar highly technical industry.

Nice to have

Familiarity with Hubspot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, email mining tools, and Messari.
Experience selling products and services to developers and other technical customers.
Experience working at a technology startup.
Basic technical knowledge of smart contracts, DeFi, DAOs, and Layer 2 Rollups.
Experience working at a fully-remote company.

Location

This is a 100% remote position with no travel required but we are only hiring in the following time zone range:

UTC -8 to UTC +3
