The Senior Mobile Developer (iOS) will focus on designing, building, and maintaining high-performance, user-centric iOS applications for Paxful’s global platform. This role requires expertise in iOS development, a passion for creating seamless user experiences, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. You will play a critical role in enhancing Paxful’s mobile ecosystem, contributing to feature development, performance optimization, and app scalability.
What will you do:
- Design and develop native iOS applications that deliver exceptional user experiences.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define, implement, and deliver new features.
- Write clean, modular, and maintainable Swift code, adhering to best practices in iOS development.
- Optimize app performance for various iOS devices, ensuring smooth functionality across different screen sizes and OS versions.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues to maintain app stability and reliability.
- Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers to improve overall team performance.
- Stay updated with the latest iOS frameworks, tools, and trends to incorporate best practices.
- Integrate backend APIs into iOS applications, ensuring data consistency and security.
- Develop unit and UI tests to ensure app reliability and quality.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment using tools like Fastlane or GitLab CI.
- Support the implementation of advanced features, such as blockchain integration and self-custody wallet functionalities, where applicable.
- Collaborate with QA to ensure comprehensive testing and bug resolution before production releases.

Requirements
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in iOS application development.
- Strong proficiency in Swift and familiarity with Objective-C.
- Deep understanding of iOS frameworks and tools.
- Examples: UIKit, SwiftUI, Core Data, Combine, and Foundation.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party SDKs.
- Ability to seamlessly integrate backend services into the iOS app.
- Knowledge of mobile design patterns and architecture.
- Examples: MVVM, MVP, or Clean Architecture.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools and testing frameworks.
- Experience with Fastlane, XCTest, and TestFlight.
- Strong debugging and performance profiling skills.
- Familiarity with Xcode Instruments and other profiling tools.
Recommended Skills:
- Knowledge of cryptography and blockchain-related mobile integrations is a plus.
- Familiarity with mobile security best practices, including secure storage and encrypted communications.
- Experience with analytics and tracking tools (e.g., Firebase, Amplitude).
- Contributions to open-source iOS projects or technical communities.
