Storj is looking for an experienced sales/solution engineer who has sold infrastructure (ideally, compute/storage infrastructure) into enterprises of all sizes while meeting or exceeding assigned quotas. It is also good to have experience working with and supporting channel partners and systems integrators. Additionally, this person will have strong presentation skills with experience taking prospective customers through a use-case focused, constructive dialog. The candidate will have a sense of urgency and extraordinary attention to detail. Creative critical thinking skills are highly valued among all successful sales engineering candidates.
Note: This position is fully remote and does not require relocation or visa sponsorship. We are currently unable to sponsor work visas. Additionally, the team you will be joining is globally distributed, with members located in North America, Europe, and Oceania. Therefore, this position necessitates flexibility regarding working hours.
Responsibilities
- Drive net new logo acquisition with your assigned account executive
- Meet or exceed revenue targets, goals, and quotas
- Lead technical deep dive conversations with mid-market and major enterprise end users
- Build collaborative relationships so customers view their “Storj SE” as a “trusted advisor”
- Manage all technical aspects of the Storj selling motionWork with and communicate key technical product feature/function requests from prospective and existing customers
- Attend industry tradeshows as an exhibitor in support of our sales and marketing teams, up to four times each year
Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant work experience as a quota-carrying sales engineer selling compute and storage infrastructure solutions into enterprise customers
- Working knowledge of cloud and multi-cloud data strategies, including concepts around object storage, file storage, and cloud compute
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding assigned quotas
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with both customers and partners, understanding their needs, and aligning them with Storj’s objectives
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, attention to detail, be organized, and have the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to collaborate with a cross-functional global team. Familiarity with Slack is a plus
- Experience following workflows is a plus: media & entertainment, AI/ML, backup & disaster recovery
Salary Range
- Base salary $172,000-$191,000 USD depending on geo adjust/location in the U.S.
- On Target Earnings - 70% of total compensation will be salary based and 30% will be sales incentive compensation.
