Led by African entrepreneur and investor Kheireddine Kamal, this ambitious initiative is dedicated exclusively to African Web3 founders in a pre-seed/seed stage, tackling local inefficiencies in different regions.
Role Overview
We are looking for an Investment Associate with a strong technical background and a passion for blockchain technology to join our founding team. This role is critical to our success, as the Associate will work hand-in-hand with the General Partner to source investment opportunities, manage inbound deal flow, conduct due diligence, perform financial modeling, and track the portfolio’s progress.

Key Responsibilities
1. Deal Sourcing & Investment Analysis
- Proactively source high-potential Web3 startups across Africa, focusing on founders building on Starknet and other Ethereum Layer 2 solutions.
- Build and maintain relationships with founders, ecosystem partners, accelerators, and other investors in the African blockchain space.
- Manage inbound deal flow, screen applications, and conduct initial evaluations of potential investments.
- Conduct market research and competitive landscape analysis to identify emerging trends and investment opportunities.
2. Due Diligence & Investment Execution
- Lead the technical and business due diligence process, assessing product-market fit, technical feasibility, and business potential of Web3 startups.
- Develop and maintain financial models, including tokenomics analysis
- Prepare investment memos and presentations for the investment committee.
- Support term sheet negotiations and investment execution processes.
3. Portfolio & Ecosystem Management
- Track the performance of portfolio companies, monitoring key metrics and supporting founders as they scale.
- Assist with fundraising strategy, go-to-market plans, and other needs for portfolio companies.
- Organize and participate in key industry events, demo days, and investor meetups in Africa and globally.
Represent the fund at conferences, hackathons, and ecosystem gatherings to strengthen our presence in the Web3 community.
RequirementsWe are looking for a highly driven, analytical, and entrepreneurial professional with a deep interest in blockchain technology and venture capital.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related field from a top-tier university or business/engineering school.
- 3-4+ years of experience in venture capital, or a startup with a technical/analyst role within the blockchain ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of blockchain, Layer 2 solutions, and Web3 infrastructures.
- Experience in technical due diligence, including smart contract/code analysis, tokenomics, and blockchain architectures.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with experience in evaluating crypto-related business models.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to engage with founders, investors, and stakeholders across different geographies.
- Fluency in English. French is not mandatory but highly sought after.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Prior experience at a crypto-native VC, blockchain startup, or DeFi protocol.
- Familiarity with Solidity, Cairo (Starknet’s smart contract language), and other blockchain programming languages.
- A network within the African tech and crypto ecosystem.
