At CoinJar, we've made cryptocurrency useful and accessible to clients for over a decade. Established in Australia in 2013, CoinJar has since built a trusted platform where retail and professional clients alike benefit from intuitive tools to buy, sell, spend and trade cryptocurrency. Following our successful Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) registration, CoinJar has now launched in Ireland. CoinJar operates through local subsidiaries in Australia, the United Kingdom and Ireland (CoinJar Europe Limited).
The group takes a compliance-first approach when it comes to growing our business into new jurisdictions and adhering to new regulations. This entails building relationships with local regulators and obtaining local licenses wherever it operates or aims to operate. Currently CoinJar is seeking a Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation (MiCAR) licence and building out its EU team from Dublin.
