As a Member of Technical Staff at the Infra Engineering team, you'll get the opportunity to work on various platform areas such as cloud infrastructure (e.g. GCP, gke, terraform), and build systems for our monorepo. You’ll help define the long-term strategy and execute it with a team of talented engineers. Internal developers will appreciate a well functioning build pipeline that allows them to get their code to production smoothly. The business and Anchorage customers will appreciate a reliable, secure runtime infrastructure as that is a core competency of the Anchorage ecosystem and value proposition. The role has cross-team exposure which allows for interesting work and professional growth.

You will:
- Technical Skills:
- Define and influence network architecture initiatives, creating abstractions for hybrid connectivity between Data Centers and Kubernetes clusters.
- Operate reliable and cost-efficient infrastructure across regions.
Growth Opportunity: Learn to decompose manual configurations into modular Terraform code.
Complexity and Impact of Work:Lead initiatives to migrate legacy network setups to a modern, automated architecture.Build robust monitoring and observability into the network layer to shorten feedback loops during outages or latency events.
Communication and Influence:Work with external partners (ISPs, DC providers) and internal engineering and security teams to deliver secure infrastructure solutions.Advocate for best practices across network security and connectivity.
You may be a fit for this role if:
- Strong experience with Linux/Unix internals, docker containerization, container orchestration and command-line tools.
- Experience configuring and managing enterprise-grade network hardware and firewalls.
- Experience with one of the major cloud providers (GCP or AWS) and their specific networking constructs.
- A desire to stop manually SSH-ing into routers and start writing code to manage them
- A desire to work on more than just networking, including cloud infrastructure that runs on the network backbone you provision
Although not a requirement, bonus points if:
- You have prior experience with Terraform or other IACs for network automation.
- Experience with setting up and monitoring private B2B connectivity.
- Desire to work outside of just the networking world
- In your mind, the word "crypto" stands for cryptography, not cryptocurrency.
- You read protocol white papers for fun or have a background in the finance industry.
